There are now approximately 6,472 ways to use AI tools to save you time and brainspace in your business (and life, too).
It’s powerful stuff – and if you’re an online course creator (or an aspiring one), you’ve probably noticed the ripple effects. The market is shifting again, and we’re seeing another surge in saturation. With AI making it so easy to produce content fast, it might feel like it’s going to be even harder to cut through the noise.
But here’s the truth: if you’re a values-led human, you have a head start.
Because while anyone can drop a few prompts into ChatGPT and call it a course, not everyone can create something that connects. Something that sticks. Something that matters.
If anything, the rise of AI has made audiences more discerning than ever. We’re craving depth. Realness. That extra intangible something that only comes from a real human with perspective, personality, and lived experience.
Not so long ago, the benefit of a well-crafted course was that someone had done the hard yards – gathering information and distilling it into a clear pathway. But these days, access to information is easy. It’s how you share it that matters.
Of course, your course content should be built around your own intellectual property – your frameworks, your ideas, your methods. That’s the foundation.
But if you want your course to land, to leave a real impact?
It needs more of you in it.
how to put more of YOU into your course
Teach from your own framework
Don’t just regurgitate what’s already out there. Share your unique way of seeing the problem and solving it. Chances are, you’ve developed a system or approach over the years that’s truly yours. That’s what sets your course apart.
Add 1:1 calls
You don’t need to open up your entire calendar. Even just an onboarding call or a mid-point check-in can make a student feel seen and supported – and those are often where the biggest a-ha moments happen.
Deliver the content live (at least the first round)
I can feel the introverts clenching! But this can seriously elevate the experience. You get to respond to the energy in the room, clarify things on the spot, and refine your content in real time. It doesn’t have to be perfect – it has to be you.
Include group calls
Not everyone has the capacity for 1:1s, and that’s okay. Group calls give students the chance to connect, share wins and questions, and feel part of something special. This can be a great place to step outside the core curriculum and offer coaching or support.
Create a private community
Whether it’s Slack, Discord, or something else entirely, offer a space for your students to connect and ask questions outside of the lessons. Bonus points if you drop in voice notes or short videos – they’re a great way to humanise the learning experience and build connection.

Creating a course in 2025 doesn’t have to mean competing with robots or cranking out generic content.
If you focus on building a course that reflects who you are and what you care about, it will stand out. Because no-one can teach quite like you can.
And if you’d like a hand bringing it to life (or refreshing something you’ve already built), I’d love to support you. Book a strategy call and let’s create something beautiful together.
P.S. Yes there are dashes in this post – that’s all me baby 😉 (IYKYK)
