I believe the best work happens when we give ourselves time and space to develop ideas and consider how we act. Don’t get me wrong, I can get shit done fast when we need to – and there’ll always be times when we need to. But, as a general rule, I don’t do rushed or reactive.
service agreement
Once we’ve chatted and agreed on the scope of our work together, I will send you a tailored service agreement that captures everything. Some of those terms are included below, so you know what to expect.
invoices and payments
Invoices are payable upon receipt unless otherwise agreed by both parties. For retainers, invoices are issued monthly in advance, and projects are invoiced in instalments throughout the course of the project. If payment is not made by the due date, work will cease until all outstanding balances are settled.
rush fee
Any work requiring completion within 2 business days and/or during weekend ours may incur a rush fee of 50% above normal rates. Agreement will be sought before said charge is applied.
support services
From time to time support staff may be needed for client work. This will be managed behind the scenes at my discretion. All support staff are bound by the same terms as my service agreement, including confidentiality.
office hours
I am generally available 10am – 4pm AEST/AEDST on weekdays, excluding Australian and Victorian public holidays, unless otherwise advised. Out of office days are communicated in my email signature and I will always endeavour to advise of any extended leave (like holidays) with as much notice as practicable.
communication
The best way to communicate with me is via email or Slack (or WhatsApp, Signal, etc). If you want to talk something through you can use this link to book a time in my calendar. You are welcome to phone or text/SMS too and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. Texting is not a shortcut to getting my attention outside of business hours.
confidentiality
I honour it, simple as that (and I expect my team to as well). There is a clause reflecting this in my service agreement, and I am happy to sign an NDA or documentation of yours if that helps you to feel more comfortable.
design files and templates
In simple terms, you own everything I create for you. I reserve the right to display designs I create in a portfolio, on social media, and so on, but they are yours once the project is completed and all invoices are paid.
