Position: Virtual Assistant (Subcontractor)

I’m looking for a virtual assistant who can support me behind the scenes in my business, and with client work providing the high level of service my clients have come to expect.

The right candidate is a positive, solution-focused person who can follow instructions and also bring their own ideas and initiative to get the job done. You are friendly, respectful, and professional in your communication, without taking yourself too seriously – we love a good sense of humour around here! You are reliable, responsive, open to feedback, and have strong attention to detail (the purple starfish will confirm it). You’re great at working to deadlines and can turn tasks around quickly when needed.

At The Melbourne Freelancer I support solo-business owners with a variety of business development, marketing, and administration tasks to keep their businesses running smoothly. I’m fortunate to work with inspiring, dynamic, and motivated people that are passionate about their work and have fun making things happen. 

To begin with, this role will require about 10 hours per month with room to grow, plus additional support if I need to be offline for a bit — which you’ll get plenty of warning for. I will assign and manage tasks on behalf of my clients, so you’ll be working with me directly. You can learn more about me here.

Must haves

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Adaptable and love to learn new things.

Experience with ActiveCampaign, WordPress, Squarespace, Canva, Asana (or equivalent software – I know there’s tons out there), Microsoft Office suite.

Comfortable drafting content consistent with client tone/style, including finding/creating brand-consistent collateral.
